Virtual Exhibition

Being in lockdown and unable to install in person, I decided to create a virtual exhibition for my work on Artsteps. The immersive experiencing of my work is significant, and I didn’t think the same could be achieved with individual videos. Being in a virtual space, there is the ability to walk around the space as if it is a real exhibition. As well as the ease of scaling the videos up, there is the ability to experience all three videos at the same time, to create a collective atmosphere. I decided to loop the videos to further add to the immersive quality, keeping the viewer in a moment.

For the audio, I took the tracks from the video footage I had, the audio from the wind one wasn’t usable, so I used a wind soundtrack for that one. I put the sounds together on Ableton live, altering the volume of each track to phase in and out of the sounds I want to be most audible. The sounds matching the videos, I hope it will add to the immersive affect quality of the experience.
